Christina Applegate and more celebrities react to the loss of Kamala Harris

Former President Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election against Vice President Kamala Harris in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Since then, many celebrities have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the long-awaited result.

“Please unfollow me if you voted against women’s rights,” Christina Applegate. wrote via X on Wednesday morning.

“Against the rights of people with disabilities. Yes, that. Stop following me because what you did is unreal. I don’t want followers like that. So yes. Made. Also, starting today I will close this fan account that I have had for so many years because it is sick.”

Meanwhile, “One Tree Hill” actress Sophia Bush denounced the “MAGA gang” by posting a link showing former evangelical president of MAGA, a nonprofit get-out-the-vote organization, Jason Yates, being arrested for alleged possession of child pornography.

“Great job giving more power to the MAGA gang, America,” Bush wrote via X. “I wonder how many people see this and STILL say ‘But but at least she’s not a black woman!’ in the privacy of their homes tonight. My heart is broken .”

“I hate you all,” he told voters who voted specifically for Trump in the battleground state of Georgia.

The “I Like It” rapper also shared her reactions to the results before Trump came out ahead and admitted she was “really sad.”

“No matter what happens, I know (Harris) is probably emotional right now,” he said via Instagram Live. “I know there’s probably a lot going on in your mind and I know you’re not hearing this, but you’ll see it eventually. I just hope she knows that no matter what happens tonight, millions of people are proud of her. Women all over the world are proud of her. “Women of color are proud of her.”

Andy Cohen called out Republicans –– including Trump –– who claimed that Trump’s 2020 loss to President Joe Biden was “rigged,” by asking his X followers“So the elections ARE NOT rigged????”

The Bravo personality later clarified his statements by sharing a sweet video with his son and telling him: “We love our country, yes, we love it. We will persist, we will move forward.”

Lili Reinhart took to social media to focus on Trump’s past allegations, including at least 26 women who publicly accused the future president of some type of sexual assault.

“I cannot understand the feelings of the women who reported their sexual assault at the hands of Trump,” she said. wrote in X. “Seeing millions of people vote for their abuser. My heart absolutely breaks for these women. “I believe you and I am very sorry.”

Bette Midler shared his thoughts quoting a passage from the American journalist Henry Louis Mencken, which read in part: “When a candidate for public office faces voters, he does not face sensible men; he is faced with a multitude of men whose chief distinguishing characteristic is the fact that they are completely incapable of weighing ideas, or even of understanding any but the most elementary ones.”

The journalist went on to write that the man who becomes president is usually “the most devious and mediocre.”

Meanwhile, “High Fidelity” actor John Cusack expressed his views more directly by writing through X“The fact that the country decided to destroy itself by voting for a convicted rapist and Nazi criminal is a sign of profound nihilism, to put it mildly.”

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy “ranted” about his “knee-jerk reactions” when Trump “demolished” Harris in a long speech. instagram post shared Tuesday night.

“People like me, independent or moderate, the Democrats gave us no choice,” he said. “The Democrats gave us no choice. Various celebrities –– including taylor swiftDick Van Dyke and Beyoncé –– all publicly endorsed Harris, but many of them have not commented on the loss.

Trump became the projected winner early Wednesday after capturing the coveted battlegrounds of Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

The businessman will become the 47th president of the United States after being the 45th president when he defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016. He then lost to President Joe Biden in 2020.

Trump thanked “the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected” before his official victory during a celebration at his Mar-a-Lago estate early Wednesday.
