MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A man lost his life Wednesday morning after a shooting in Midtown.

Memphis police responded to the shooting around 1 a.m. at Cleveland Street and Linden Avenue.

The two men were in a verbal altercation before the shooting occurred, police said.

Officers said the suspect fled the scene.
