The familiar rolling stock of the Isle of Man steam railway was transformed into a spooky ghost train as part of a special Hop-Tu-Naa themed event.

Historic railway staff dressed up as a variety of colorful characters, including the witch Jinny, as they welcomed guests aboard the terrifying train leaving Douglas on Saturday.

As part of the haunting event, guests feasted on a variety of different and scary themed foods, including “slime” sandwiches, “troll tongue” muffins, “vomit cream” scones, and “toenail” cakes. “.

Younger passengers also enjoyed some spooky stories, a coloring contest with prizes and some spooky crafts as the rolling stock moved down the line.

Once in Castletown, passengers disembarked to meet some feathered friends, namely two beautiful owls who had been brought to the platform to greet guests, before heading to the nearby town park for some spooky interactive activities.

Railway staff are now preparing to organize a series of special Christmas-themed train journeys over the festive season, including the popular Polar Express journeys.
