See who won the Jefferson and Oldham County city council and commission races

While the majority kentucky voters were focused on presidential race and a controversial constitutional amendment On Tuesday, there were dozens of candidates vying for the opportunity to represent their communities in small municipalities in and around Jefferson County.

While candidates running for city commissioner positions in Middletown and city council seats in Shively were unopposed, other local legislators faced competition, including in Jeffersontown, Lyndon and St. Matthews.

In Oldham County, candidates competed for seats on the Crestwood City Commission and La Grange City Council.

Jeffersontown City Hall

There were 16 candidates running for Jeffersontown’s eight council seats, which included every one of the current members.

Of the incumbents, six retained their seats, including: Mark Blum, Vincent Grisanti, Pam Ware, Tim Hall, Allison Neal Head and Pamela Thomas Hickey.

The new board members are Ruth Gao and Mark Russell.

Lyndon Town Hall

Ten people were vying for a spot on Lyndon’s seven-person city council. All but one of the incumbents ran for re-election and each retained their seat.

The only new council member is Jim Yates.

St. Matthews Town Hall

There will be no new faces joining the St. Matthews City Council in this election, and each of the eight incumbents will manage to retain their seats.

Crestwood City Commission

A new face will join the Crestwood City Commission, with Tim Klein receiving the most votes on Tuesday.

David Haight lost his spot on the four-person commission, while the other incumbents, Joan Taylor Bryant, Russell Cunningham and Terry Weathers, kept their seats.

LaGrange City Hall

There were 16 candidates vying for eight seats on the LaGrange City Council, with four new faces set to join and three incumbents losing their spots.

The new members are Latasha Booker-Bishop, Kenneth Powell, Jason Kinser and Lucy R. Ricketts.

The starters who retained their seats were Laura Taylor, Trey Kamer, Jason Taylor and Joe Davenport.
