CTrain hits pedestrian in downtown Calgary

A pedestrian was hit by a CTrain in downtown Calgary on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the incident occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. The road was closed at Third Street and Seventh Avenue SE, near City Hall/Bow Valley College Station, where the collision occurred.

The person was taken to the hospital, but police did not know his condition.

The traffic unit is investigating the collision.

In a social media post, Calgary Transit said all stations along Seventh Avenue will be closed. Shuttle buses will be available to transport passengers from these stations.

The CTrains red and blue lines are delayed.
