Henrietta man accused of attempting to lure and rape a child

WEBSTER, NY – Webster police have arrested a man they say used social media to lure a child for sex.

Police say 30-year-old Adil Dastagir of Henrietta thought he was communicating with a 14-year-old. He was arrested last Friday and now faces charges including attempted rape, attempting to lure a child into a vehicle or building and attempting to endanger the welfare of a child.

He was arraigned in Webster Town Court and released under supervised release until his next court appearance on November 13.
