Eagles player wants to show what he has learned at a ‘University’ when he starts against Giants on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA – Eagles tight end Grant Calcaterra found himself among several players at his position while attending “Tight End University,” a camp run by prominent tight ends like George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs. Calcaterra absorbed as much knowledge as he could from everyone there, and it started to show in his play during training camp, eventually landing him the backup tight end spot behind starter Dallas Goedert.

With Goedert’s availability in jeopardy for Sunday’s game against the Giants at MetLife Stadium due to a hamstring injury, Calcaterra has a chance to start, show what he has learned and become a bigger factor in the offense. While Calcaterra couldn’t pinpoint one specific thing he learned that improved his game, he said it helped him this season.
