Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi playfully celebrated teammate Harry Wilson, whose late brace earned the Cottagers a dramatic victory against Brentford.

The Welsh winger came into action as a substitute in the 82nd minute with his team trailing the Bees, despite dominating the game, but quickly put his stamp on the game with two goals in the 92nd and 97th minutes to snatch victory.

His heroics sparked jubilation in west London and saw Marco Silva’s side rise to 14th in the Premier League table.

Following the win, Nigeria international Iwobi took to Instagram to share an altered image of the 27-year-old wearing a Super Eagles jersey with a traditional hat, known as a fila, atop his head.

The caption accompanying the image read: ‘King H’.

After the match, Wilson admitted that his game-winning double came under fortunate circumstances.

The former Liverpool youngster received a cross from Adama Traore and launched the ball into the air and into the net with his back to goal for his first goal. Before bending down to direct an Antonee Robinson delivery into the back of the net.

“It was an incredible feeling to come in and score the two goals to win the game.” He told Sky Sports. “We deserved it, we kept them immobilized at all times.

“The coach told me to look for space and when the ball deflected to try to enter the area and that’s what I did.

‘They both came in but not the way I would have wanted! I helped the first one to climb the back post and the second one had better luck.

Wilson admitted the way he finished was a bit lucky after the dramatic victory.

The victory lifted Fulham above Brentford in the Premier League standings and into 14th place.

“I was trying to direct it to the other corner, but it hit me on the shoulder and went in! The atmosphere was great all night and that was the best thing I’ve ever heard.”

Dimitar Berbatov, who was invited to the studio, praised Wilson, telling him: “I think it’s a great touch.” “It’s a beautiful touch and it deserved to go into the back of the net.”
