Charting the immediate post-election paths of crypto legislation

On the cryptocurrency front, there are several avenues for legislation at the moment. They largely depend on the outcome of the election, which, it’s worth noting, we may not know right away. If one party wins the White House, House and Senate (they take office in January), we probably won’t see any progress toward cryptocurrency legislation this year, said Rep. Tom Emmer, a Republican and current majority leader. That’s because if only one party is up for that trifecta, lawmakers can wait a few months to craft a bill that doesn’t require major compromises with the other party.
