Florenza Lee says, “A few years ago, my agent extraordinaire, Jesse Byrd Jr., teamed me with the truly talented Abigail Watson for a graphic novel project (Justin Saves the Universe). I had never considered writing a graphic novel. I hardly knew how. read them correctly… first the highest bubble, then from left to right; first the bubbles, then the squares. What the hell! I like being terrified! Surprise, surprise! Turns out I’m actually pretty good at it. So when Bridgett McGill contacted me to edit a project she developed (a picture book concept), I had a vision that sparked a thought on a completely different book, another graphic novel. I immediately called Abi and told her and she agreed. Since Bridgett was there for the spark, I invited her to participate. But it was actually Abi who encouraged me to do it. Launch it! That turned the spark into hell! Abi Watson graduated from Leeds University of the Arts in 2017 with a BA (Hons) in Illustration.
