Harris campaign confirms Friday visit to Lansing

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris will make a campaign visit to Lansing on Friday, according to the Harris-Walz campaign.

However, further details, such as when the event will take place and where it will take place, have not been released. The event will not be open to the general public.

This would be Harris’ sixth visit to battleground Michigan this election season and her first visit to the state capital. She will also make additional campaign visits to Detroit, Grand Rapids and Oakland County.

Her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz spoke at an event in East Lansing last month, and US Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) And Walz’s wife Gwen both have campaigned in the Lansing area.

Former President Donald J. Trump and U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) both campaigned in Michigan, but not in Lansing – although Trump did campaign in Potterville in August.
