Is Jalen McMillan playing tonight? (Injury update, impact of prop bets for Buccaneers

UPDATE: Jalen McMillan has been RULED OUT for Monday night’s game due to his hamstring injury.

What follows is the initial betting story on how to bet on McMillan if he suits up this week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie receiver Jalen McMillan was a late addition to Saturday’s injury report with a hamstring injury.

McMillan already missed time this season with a hamstring issue, and played just 18 percent of the team’s snaps in Week 6 after returning from the injury.

However, McMillan was an important player in the Bucs’ offense the last two weeks, playing more than 80 percent of the snaps in Week 8 and catching seven of his 15 targets in the last two games.

It remains to be seen if he suits up Monday night against the Kansas City Chiefs, but if he does, he could be a solid target on the prop market.

This is my favorite play by McMillan, if he plays, on Monday Night Football.

One of my favorite Monday night bets is on rookie catcher Jalen MacMillan, as he should be in line for a big role now that Evans and Godwin are out.

While MacMillan made just four receptions in Week 8 – the first game without both receivers – he was targeted seven times. In fact, he’s been targeted 15 times in the last two weeks, turning those targets into seven sacks.

I think he’s a solid bet to make 3.5 catches for the second week in a row, especially since the Bucs will likely play from behind in this game.

Last week, Baker Mayfield attempted a season-high 50 passes. If that continues, MacMillan should have plenty of opportunities to rack up sacks in Week 9.
