MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A man was injured after a shooting at an apartment complex Monday morning, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Officers responded to the shooting after 3:50 a.m. at Cane Creek Apartments.

The man was found and taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.

Police say the shooting occurred during a gang altercation where all of the suspects were shooting at the victim.

There is no suspicious information at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.

In the last two months, the police have been called to the South Memphis apartments almost a dozen times.

Many of those calls were for assault.
