Patrick Warburton’s father sent him a ‘six-page letter’ about ‘how disappointed he was’ after the actor’s ‘Seinfeld’ debut

“They had a problem with not treating the sexual act with sanctity,” Warburton recalled of his parents’ thoughts on his role on ‘Seinfeld.’

During an appearance at Howie Mandel does thingsOn the podcast, Warburton, 59, revealed that his parents had problems with him when he entered the entertainment industry. Recalling his television debut in 1995, he said he received an unexpected response from his father.

“The first show, the first episode I did is Seinfeld”he explained. “I received a six-page letter from my father about how disappointed he was and the decisions he was making.”

“So they had a problem of not treating the sexual act with sanctity,” Warburton said. “Because, as we all know, the sexual act is full of sanctity: it is about procreation and nothing more.”

Warburton went on to joke that “women shouldn’t have orgasms or have fun. It’s all about having babies!

His father was not the only one who disagreed with his acting roles. He Rules of engagement The student revealed that his mother’s religiosity led her to resents his career too.

His father, who died six years ago, did not like it family man any. Warburton said she even called him once to try to get him to leave the series.

“He was getting information from my mom, so he leaves a message on my phone, ‘Patrick, on a future episode of family manGod is sitting in a La-Z-Boy chair next to a bottle of lotion getting ready to masturbate. I wish you would get off that program,’” he said.
