New York Times Shares Scathing 112-Word Warning Against Trump’s Election Victory

The New York TimesThe editorial board of has issued a harsh denunciation of donald trump as the presidential elections approachtelling readers that the Republican candidate is “unfit to lead” and is a serial liar whose policies are “cruel” and will only “wreak havoc” on the nation.

Without explicitly endorsing his Democratic rival Kamala Harris in the piecethe board wrote a fiery 112-word message. Opinion piece warning of a possible second Trump term.

“You know Donald Trump. He is not fit to lead. Look at it. Listen to those who know you best,” it reads.

“He tried to subvert an election and remains a threat to democracy. He helped overturn Roe, with dire consequences.

“Mr Trump’s corruption and lawlessness goes beyond the election: it is his entire spirit. He lies without limits.”

The brief but damning statement continues: “If he is re-elected, the Republican Party will not stop him. Trump will use the government to persecute his opponents. A cruel policy of mass deportations will follow.

“It will wreak havoc on the poor, the middle class and employers. Another Trump term will damage the climate, break alliances, and strengthen autocrats. Americans should demand more. Vote.”

The movement by NYTTrump’s board issued such a strong rebuke to Trump on the same weekend that the candidate joked about journalists who were shot during a rally in Macon, Georgia, and after rival media outlets like Washington PostLos Angeles Times and USA today he faced heavy criticism for refusing to give his endorsement this year.
