Bankroll Freddie denounces prosecutors amid “cruel” sentence: “People get less for murder”

Bankroll Freddie speaks after a judge sentenced the rapper to 12 and a half years in prison, criticizing the judge and prosecutors in a lengthy statement on social media.

On Sunday (Nov. 3), the Arkansas rapper took to Instagram to criticize his sentence, claiming prosecutors and the judge had a “vendetta” against him. He called the sentence “cruel and unusual punishment,” arguing that the murders are carried out with less time.

“There is no way these people gave me 12 and a half years for marijuana use and a gun by a first-time offender,” he began. “I’ve never had any problems.”

He stated that his sentencing guidelines ranged from “5 to 6 1/2 years to 9 to 10 years of false upward variation,” adding, “These prosecutors and judges have a vendetta against me in my state for fighting them.”

Bankroll Freddie continued: “Every charge I beat in my case they gave me an upward variance… If that’s the case, I was simply able to copy the statement for less time, so that makes sense… The judge and prosecutors got angry because I went to trial & Clear 7 of 10 charges And I did not bow to them… This is cruel and unusual punishment. I won’t accept this. “I am going to fight for my life and for what is right.”

Bankroll Freddie hit with long sentence

Bankroll Freddie was found guilty of possession and distribution of marijuana, possession and distribution of a controlled substance, possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking, and use of a communications facility in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes in April.

Last Friday (November 1), Judge James Moody Jr. sentenced Bankroll Freddie to 12 and a half years in prison. He was sentenced to more than seven years on the firearm charge and five years each on the possession and distribution charges. The judge ordered the simultaneous execution of the sentences.

In his impassioned statement, Bankroll Freddie insisted he would “stand up and fight the system.”

He continued, “Your people have much worse charges than me, terrible criminal records, and they have less time than I do,” adding, “Racism is real, especially in my state, Arkansas… Your people have less time to murder than I do.” for marijuana… I can’t do that.”
