PHOENIX (AZ Family) – A man died after being stabbed Sunday night in downtown Phoenix.

Phoenix police responded to an injured person call around 6 a.m. near 16th Street and Indian School Roadwhere they found a man who had been stabbed.

Police said the man had life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The man has not yet been identified.

Officers remain on scene Monday morning and the search for a suspect continues. Police have not provided any information on possible suspects.

Eastbound Indian School Road is closed at 16th Street toward State Route 51 as the investigation continues.
