Latest Bucs gear in high demand for Monday night

TAMPA, Fla. — Stephen Sherman, owner of Heads and Tails in South Tampa, is happy to once again stock the shelves with sporting goods from all the local college and professional teams.

Like thousands of people across Tampa Bay, he was affected by the storms and part of his sign was destroyed.

“So I think the most important thing about sports, especially at the local level, is that it takes us out of the darkness of hard times and gives us something to look forward to,” Sherman said.

Fans are certainly looking forward to Monday night’s game against the Chiefs.

“My other shirts were too big, I probably lost 30 pounds, but I’ll probably gain them back. Monday Night Football, let’s go Bucs,” said one fan.

Then there is Ruth Tavárez. She is choosing clothes for herself and her grandchildren.

“I love adding the Bucs team because every year something different comes out, something new and of course you have to have it,” Tavárez said.

Heads and Tails is proud to offer gear fans can’t find anywhere else, like Shake N Bake t-shirts.

“And this shirt flies off the shelves all the time. We have it in cream, but white is super slippery,” Sherman said. “I mean, it’s all about style, right? “Everyone wants to deliver new stuff for every game, so even in the middle of the season, we get new stuff to change it up.”

The store has even begun partnering with local independent artists and vendors, such as jewelry designer Erika Williner.

He said there’s nothing better than watching a fan style their football earrings or Bucs bag at a watch party or during the game.

“That’s the best feeling I’ve ever had as an artist. “That’s all I want because it’s priceless,” Williner said.

Fans can even wear the same gear as their favorite players, like the black and red cap Baker Mayfield wore when he opted out of his contract.

So whether it’s a hat, jacket, shirt, or helmet, Heads and Tails says whatever you wear during the game, wear it with pride.
