Woman receives flowers addressed to her boyfriend’s ex at her house (exclusive)

  • Meghan Moore was meeting a potential new partner when she gave birth unexpectedly
  • What she thought was a sweet gesture ended up raising tons of questions when the flower delivery arrived with a card addressed to the man’s ex-wife.
  • Moore tells PEOPLE how TikTok helped her be at peace with the moment

A woman found herself in a complicated situation she didn’t expect with a new man she was dating. The truth, however, was crazier than the beginning of the story.

Meghan Moore, on TikTok @meghan_moore_She tells PEOPLE that as a recently divorced woman, she’s just entering the dating scene.

“I was with my ex-husband for six years. I’ve been divorced since July. I went on the apps and saw this guy who looked familiar,” she tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Then I realized he was a former customer.”

Moore, a hairdresser, knew the man and his wife were his clients. What she didn’t know is that they had separated.

“I used to do his and his ex-wife’s hair years ago. They ended up getting divorced six months after I did their hair and she stopped coming to me,” Moore shares. “Fast forward to I’m on Hinge and this guy likes my profile and I realize it was her ex-husband.”

Moore and the man had only known each other a few weeks when she received a delivery of flowers to her home.

“She stayed at my house for a couple of days when the hurricane hit because she lives in an area that can flood a lot. I thought it was strange that she sent flowers, but I saw them on my Ring camera,” she said. says. “I thought they might have been someone else’s too, so I told the babysitter who was at my house at the time to bring them.”

When Moore got home, she looked at the card and saw the name of her new boyfriend’s ex-wife on it. The flowers were for her birthday, according to the sweet card.

“Happy birthday to my one true love. I wish I never let you get away. There aren’t many fish in the sea. I love you and I miss you, but today I miss you even more,” Moore reads from the card in a TikTok. video that has since gone viral.

“After reading the card, my babysitter and I were dying. I called my best friend and she was like, ‘You have to make a TikTok right now,’ and so I did.”

It wasn’t long until commenters flooded the video with different theories about whether it was a genuine accident or whether she received the misdirected flowers for some reason. Meanwhile, he sent a photo to the man.

“I just sent him a picture of the flowers and the notes and did the TikTok. He texts me like 30 minutes later and is very confused and claims he didn’t send them,” she says. “I didn’t believe him. I thought he did it, because why else would it not be my address and phone number, but his name and a message to her? It was really strange.”

When the two spoke on the phone, he was “adamant” that he didn’t send the flowers or write the card.

“He seemed really innocent and he’s not a lovey-dovey guy, so the note and the flowers seemed weird,” she says. “I decided, ‘I’m going to call the florist.'”

When she called the small flower shop and shared her story with the woman on the phone, Moore found a sympathetic figure willing to help.

“She said, ‘Oh, honey, we’ll help you.'” “They were angels,” she says. They gave her a name and an address, but it wasn’t anyone she or her boyfriend knew. Of course, they considered that the mystery sender may have provided a fake name.

“I have a snarky page on Reddit where people have shared some of my information,” Moore shares. “I thought someone over there might be trying to mess with me.”

As for the man, who Moore continues to see even though she says they’re not “in a relationship,” she shares, “He thinks it’s crazy. He’s a quiet guy and doesn’t seem to care too much. He’s not on TikTok, so he “He knows about the videos but he doesn’t care.”

Moore herself says it’s been “fun” to see fans’ different perspectives on what will remain a mystery.

“TikTok was the reason I had the inclination to call the florist. It’s been crazy, but fun,” she says. “I don’t take myself that seriously, so even though I worry about my safety and people sharing my address on the Internet, I have good confidence and a sense of humor. TikTok is a fun place.”
