After a tough loss to the New York Knicks on Friday, the Detroit Pistons They were back in action in the Big Apple on Sunday afternoon. This time, facing Cam Thomas and the Brooklyn Nets.

Sunday would be a completely different performance for the Pistons as they were able to go out and take care of business on the road. In the end, they cruised to a 106-92 victory for their second win of the season.

After an impressive performance by Cade Cunningham and company, Pistons fans took to social media to show how elated they were about the team’s victory in Brooklyn.

The biggest story in this game for the Pistons would be their balanced attack. They got production from all parts of the lineup, and six players finished in double figures. Cunningham recorded a team-high 19 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists. Other notable players were Tobias Harris (18 points, six assists), Jalen Duren (13 points, 17 rebounds) and Malik Beasley with 18 points off the bench.

After their loss to the Knicks, Pistons coach JB Bickerstaff viewed it as a learning experience for the young team. He seems to have gotten his message across, as the group came out with a very different demeanor than on Friday. Detroit was able to take on a team they had to beat, and now find themselves with a 2-5 record to start the year.

The Pistons don’t have much time to think about this win as they are in the middle of another back-to-back home and road contest. They are scheduled to return to action on Monday night, hosting LeBron James and the LA Lakers.
