STREET. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. — A 19-year-old man drowned Sunday at a St. Lucie County beach, deputies said.

In a Facebook postThe St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said the drowning occurred at Pepper Park Beach.

Investigators said they pulled the teen from the water and took him to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, but he later died.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office did not share any other details about the incident.

The teen’s name has not been released.
