Man sentenced for ‘outrageous’ episode with Shrewsbury neighbors involving kitchen knife and broken door

Telford Magistrates Court was told that Richard Evans had a ‘mental health episode’ in April this year when he had an ‘episode’ with his neighbours.

Evans, aged 38, said he understood the charges against him and pleaded guilty to three offenses in Murrell Way, Shrewsbury, in April this year. A psychiatric report concluded Evans was fit to enter pleas.

Evans admitted possessing a sharp-pointed kitchen knife in public on Murrell Way on April 16 for no good reason, causing £536 worth of damage to the front tire of an Isuzu pick-up on the same date.
