Foreign dreams cost group ₹40L

Chandigarh: Another one immigration fraud was reported in the city on Wednesday. According to police, Harpal Singh and others alleged this in their complaint Khuspal Singh, Gurmail Singh and others from the Sector 17-based company cheated them of Rs 40.4 lakh while promising to send them abroad.

Soldier from TN loses 12 lakh due to cyber fraud
A soldier from Pangode military station lost Rs 12 lakh to online fraudsters who took a loan in his name using bank details obtained through a duplicate SIM card. The fraudsters obtained the duplicate SIM card with the soldier’s Aadhar card after posing as telecom personnel. The police have started an investigation and registered several cases under the IPC and IT Act.
