Bruce Campbell confirms animated series ‘The Evil Dead’ and highlights the future of the franchise

Ash Williams is horror movie history, the main character of the horror franchise ‘Kill the evil ones‘, played since 1981 by the American actor Bruce Campbell. A figure of enormous recognition who hung up the chainsaw after the completion of the series ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ in 2018, but this does not mean that he has left the saga of his life in its entirety, but that he recently confirmed that an animated series of ‘Evil Dead’ is in development.

Campbell admitted that the physical toll of playing Ash Williams was too much, but he would like to continue voicing the character. In addition to the animated series, the ‘Evil Dead’ franchise has also announced two live-action films. ComicBook asked him about that specifically, to which he replied about the animated series: “We’re just developing it. That’s true, but it’s a slow-motion molasses process, so it could take years. It’s in the works, and so are two more films.”

‘The Evil Dead’, a historical saga

Kill the evil ones‘, the work of Sam Raimiis a timeless gem of the film industry. A multi-faceted saga, the first part of which is pure horror, as well as the reboot released in 2013; on the other hand, the second part adds some comedy and the third, ‘Army of Darkness’, is an absolute genius that adds a great dose of action and fantasy.

In addition to his work on ‘Evil Dead’, Bruce Campbell is now preparing for the premiere of ‘Hysteria!’, the series premiering next October 18 and with which he returns to horror.
