Traffic in Winnipeg: Modular fire station being assembled in Winnipeg

The City of Winnipeg is warning Waverley West residents of traffic issues as a new modular fire station is delivered and installed.

The traffic disruption starts Thursday evening and lasts Friday and Saturday. Drivers can expect the following closures and changes:

• The southbound lanes of Eaglewood Drive between Skyline Drive and the Element at the Eaglewood Complex entrance will be closed from October 17 at 8:00 PM to October 19 at 8:00 PM. This closure may end sooner as work is completed.
• “No Parking” signs will be posted along both sides of Eaglewood Drive, from Waverley Street to Skyline Drive.
• Southbound traffic will be routed to the left side of the northbound lane during the closure.
• The sidewalk on the west side of Eaglewood Drive will be closed. Pedestrians can still walk on the east sidewalk.

The interim fire station will be set up on Eaglewood Dr.

Residents are asked to avoid the area during the works as there will be construction equipment in the area.
