God gives mercy to Uganda

God gives mercy to Uganda

It is becoming a highly inappropriate practice for President Museveni to speak in glowing terms about witchcraft at the national prayer breakfast, and this year’s celebrations at State House were no different.

The president labeled it a “traditional religion” and told a few stories during the bush war when he followed the advice of medicine men. But before delving into a few stories, perhaps as an attempt to normalize it, he felt the urge to emphasize that he is in good company.

“Traditional religion is very strong. In Buganda here you see all these people saying they are Catholic, they are Protestants, they are Basiramu (Muslims); they all come from (traditional religions),” Museveni said.

He continued to reveal how a certain early morning military raid was postponed by almost two hours on the orders of a spiritualist in Nakaziba. On another occasion he was an active participant. After jumping over a slaughtered chicken three times, the presiding spiritualist assured him that he could overrun Kampala even with one gun.

He went on to biblically validate his “open religious approach” during the bush war, stating that this is the core message of Jesus in the parable of the Good Samaritan.

But despite this blatant blasphemy against God, the Lord still granted mercy to Uganda on the same day. During his weekly Tuesday meeting on October 8, Prophet Elvis Mbonye was moved to tears as he interceded for the country, especially its leaders, to listen to the voice of God.

“Thus says the Lord: ‘I will act again and give these people another chance. And if they listen to you, then I will rise and cause what is eating you up to heal and I will cause you to prosper, and I will cause My voice and My word to be in the ears and hearts of every human being sound. and every woman, every boy, every child in this land, and I will cause an awakening like never before,” says the Spirit.

For My redemption has been extended again. And the hearts and minds of the people shall hear my voice and feel my spirit, for truly the harvest is great, says the Spirit of the Lord upon the people of Uganda, in the name of Jesus,” the prophet revealed the word of the Gentleman.

Prophet Elvis fervently continued to proclaim new tidings to the nation, especially to its leaders; “Father, we pray for the leaders of this country, from the president to the parliament, to the judiciary, to the academics. We pray for Uganda, Father, in the name of Jesus, that they may be imbued with wisdom according to Your word, wisdom from above, Father. Father, we pray that every altar be dismantled, in the name of Jesus, and Father Your light shines. And today we declare that new grace and new mercy come upon this nation. And we receive your blessing upon this land. We bless it, Father. We bless Uganda, in the name of Jesus.”

Many people may not understand the need for leaders to heed God’s instructions from proven mouthpieces because they are ignorant of the correlation between the leaders’ spirituality and how the country is developing.

The latest example is Kenya. On October 23, 2023, Prophet Mbonye revealed that Kenya had fallen prey to the devil’s schemes and established a presidential task force to establish a regulatory framework for the religious organization in Kenya, in response to the unfortunate ‘Shahakola Massacre’ which killed more than 400 people. in April 2023.

The Prophet strongly warned against this move and advised the authorities to drop it in its entirety or else they would bring judgment on Kenya. President Ruto did not listen. What followed were the floods, then the Generation Z riots and the recent standoff between President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, which led to the latter’s ouster.

Much of what ails Uganda today politically, economically or socially could be directly linked to the inability of our leaders to listen to the voice of God. The country’s response to the pandemic is a case in point. Our leaders chose the popular path of lockdowns, quarantines, curfews and school closures, in total disobedience to God’s guidance, as exemplified by the late Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli.

To this day, Uganda is still dealing with the consequences of the wrong decisions made by our leaders during that period. The theme of this year’s national prayer breakfast was; Psalm 11:3 “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” What the righteous must do today is heed the word of His prophet.
