MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said she was not aware of any appeals from Western countries to Moscow about prisoner-of-war exchanges with Ukraine.

“I am not aware of such statements or intentions on the part of any foreign country. We have just read this information on the social networks of (Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine) Andrey Sibiga, but I repeat, our side has announced concrete figures (on prisoners ) exchanges),” he said in an online press conference. “Let the kyiv regime explain itself to the international community, as long as it has presented itself as a task for the international community and for its own people.”

The diplomat mentioned that the Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian Federation Council, Grigory Karasin, said that Russia is ready to communicate with the international community about the exchange of prisoners of war with Ukraine.

“If anyone wishes to offer some kind of mediation, it would be a good idea for these mediators to approach the kyiv regime with the facts that we have laid out today,” he continued.
