With mischief levels at their peak on Halloween, you never know what to expect. But we’re pretty sure a group of trick-or-treaters never thought they’d be greeted by a pop star. Olivia Rodrigo while looking for candy.

The elaborate prank was part of a segment for Jimmy Kimmel live. And if you remember, the night program is no stranger to play pranks on children on halloween.

During the prank, the first group of trick-or-treaters were greeted by Jimmy Kimmel’s partner, Guillermo Rodríguez. Dressed in his best Olivia Rodrigo costume, he asked the group if they knew who he was dressed as. Shortly after answering, they were surprised by Olivia herself.

“I went to your concert,” one of the trick-or-treaters confessed excitedly.

A girl in the next group was left speechless when the “Can’t Catch Me Now” singer showed up with a bucket of candy.

“Why don’t you speak?” asked a fellow trick-or-treater who gave off major little brother energy.

“It’s like you meet who you like the most,” he responded.

Another trick-or-treater was left crying after being greeted by Olivia. But don’t worry, they were happy tears (apparently the first).

“I have never cried happily in my life,” he revealed after giving the singer a big hug.

The adorable Halloween prank ended on a high note with candy and Olivia singing “Vampire.”
