Grant Williams was ejected Friday after colliding with former Boston Celtics teammate Jayson Tatum.

Tatum’s Celtics led Williams’ Charlotte Hornets 114-105 with about two minutes left at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tatum grabbed a defensive rebound and quickly pushed the ball the other way for a transition opportunity. But when the Celtics star crossed the half-court line, Williams tackled him to the ground like a defensive back trying to make a late tackle.
