George Pickens criticizes the NFL for having Vendetta against him

On Thursday night, New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson had a one-handed crazy craneb in the end zone, but only lowered his left foot and shin in bounds. However, it was ruled a touchdown.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens had a similar play in Monday night’s win over the New York Giants, but it was ruled an incomplete pass. The difference was that Pickens put his right foot down twice, but his left foot never touched the ground.

To say the least, Pickens was not happy after seeing Wilson’s catch as a touchdown. It feels like the NFL stole from him.

“But that is a problem. Lmfaooo NFL WILL BE HAVING SELLENTS TOWARDS CERTAIN PLAYERS. (Never forget I said this) PS,” Pickens wrote in an Instagram Story post following Wilson’s touchdown.

The NFL rule book says both feet must touch the ground on a catch, so the referees got Pickens’ play right. Officials also made the right decision with Wilson, as the rulebook states that one shin counts as two feet.

However, this could be something the competition committee looks into during the offseason. Many believe the rule is illogical. How does one shin count as two feet, but the same foot touching the ground twice doesn’t equal a catch?

“Garrett Wilson’s touchdown is incredible. That George Pickens’ catch Monday night wasn’t a touchdown now doesn’t make sense to me. Wilson had his foot and shin down, so it counts as a touchdown. However, George Pickens stood his ground twice, but that doesn’t count.” NFL expert Jordan Schultz said.

Steelers nose tackle Breiden Fehoko was also baffled that Pickens’ catch wasn’t a touchdown, but Garrett’s was.

“Not taking anything from G5, but letting it be a touchdown and not counting two GP double touches with the same foot is crazy to me.” Fehoko wrote in.

It is very rare for a situation like the Pickens and Wilson plays to arise. JJ Watt wrote in XI have never seen the “one foot twice” situation in my entire career. Now I’ve seen him twice in a week. Crazy!”

Warren Sharp of Sharp Football said it best, Pickens had the “The most complete incomplete pass ever seen.”
