Trump criticizes Harris for ‘worst jobs report in the history of our country’

Former President Trump criticized a jobs report released by the Department of Labor on Friday, calling it the “worst jobs report in the history of our country” during a rally in Michigan.

“We have breaking news. Actually, it’s bad news. It’s only good for one thing: if you confront the stupid people who created this news. “It’s bad news, bad news for the country, which just announced a moment ago that the new jobs report decisively demonstrates that Kamala Harris and corrupt Joe have led our economy to the precipice,” Trump told supporters in Warren, Michigan.

“And if she gets four more years, her family will never recover from these stupid people,” he added.

Department of Labor The data revealed that barely 12,000 jobs were created during the month of October, while the unemployment rate remained stagnant at 4.1 percent, mediocre figures for the Biden administration just days before Election Day.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics noted that hurricanes that made landfall in the Southeast in recent weeks had affected the employment report. the administration has also noticed The Boeing strike affected those numbers.

“We know that there were two powerful forces that caused negative and temporary impacts on payroll growth. Those were, of course, the hurricanes that really hit the southeastern United States, wide swaths there and the attacks,” Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Jared Bernstein said Friday in an interview on CNBC.

“And taking those factors into account, the underlying pace of payroll employment growth remains healthy, probably in the 150,000 range. “That is enough to keep the unemployment rate stable.”

At the same time, data from the Department of Commerce released this week has pointed to some solid economic data points, finding that from July to September the country’s gross domestic product rose at an annual rate of 2.8 percent.

But that didn’t stop Trump from criticizing the jobs report, calling the 12,000 figure “unfortunate” and claiming that he had “never heard of 12,000 jobs.”

“And think, this is not good news for them,” Trump said of Democrats. “I mean, how would you like to have an election in four days and just have the worst jobs report in the history of our country, practically?”

The economy has largely been considered the main issue facing voters in this presidential election.
