Thousands of counterfeit Botox injections given at Easton and Randolph spas, feds say

STOUGHTON— Stoughton Spa Owner injected Botox and fake fillers into thousands of local clients, federal prosecutors alleged Friday.

Rebecca Fadanelli was arrested on charges of smuggling counterfeit medications and beauty devices into the US and selling or dispensing them to customers. The 38-year-old man was arrested Friday morning and appeared in federal court in Worcester Friday afternoon. She was scheduled to be released after posting $10,000 bail, according to court records.

Prosecutors claim he obtained fake Botox, Sculptra and Juvederm from Brazil and China. She allegedly received more than $900,000 from clients for thousands of pirated beauty photos.says the government.

In court documents, the U.S. Department of Justice alleged that from approximately March 2021 to March 2024, Fadanelli booked appointments for 1,631 Botox procedures and 1,085 filler injections into his clients’ bodies.

Counterfeit Injections Were Performed at These Easton and Randolph Spas

Fadanelli owns Skin Beauty Med Spa with offices at 690 Washington St. in Easton and 247 N. Main St. in randolph.

Fadanelli’s attorney did not immediately return a call. No one answered at any of the numbers listed for the two spas.

Suspect posed as nurse, feds say

Prosecutors also claim that Fadanelli falsely claimed to be a nurse. In fact, the feds said, she is an esthetician with no license or certification to provide these types of medical beauty treatments.

“The type of deception alleged here is unlawful, reckless and potentially deadly,” Acting U.S. Attorney Joshua S. Levy said in a Friday news release.

Levy asks if you or a family member believe you received a counterfeit treatment from Fadanelli or its spas for complete an online questionnaire so researchers can contact you.

Fadanelli is considered innocent until proven guilty. National statistics from the Pew Research Center show that Federal criminal proceedings rarely go to trial.. Nearly 9 in 10 defendants plead guilty. Another 8% see their cases dismissed. At trial, less than 1% are acquitted and about 2% are found guilty.
