MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A man is fighting for his life at Regional One Hospital after a shooting Thursday night in Soulsville.

The Memphis Police Department was dispatched to the 1200 block of College Street at 7:21 p.m. after someone reported a shooting.

Police searched the area but could not find any victims.

They later learned that the victim showed up at the fire station a short distance away on East McLemore Avenue four minutes after the shooting call came in.

The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say they have a man in custody.
