Police identify Masury shooting suspect, say he is ‘armed and dangerous’

MASURY, Ohio (WKBN) – An arrest warrant has been issued for a man who police say shot at a vehicle in Masury.

Joshua Bryant, 29, faces a charge of felony assault. A news release from the Brookfield Police Department says Bryant has a history of weapons charges and should be considered “armed and dangerous.”

Those with information on Bryant’s whereabouts are asked to call 330-448-6960 or Trumbull County Dispatch at 330-675-2730 after hours.

Chief Aaron Kasiewicz said the suspect fired five shots at a vehicle following a dispute at the Wahabe courthouse, which is near the state line, around 11:26 a.m.

A 33-year-old Pennsylvania man reported he went to Bryant’s home in the 800 block of Wahabe Ct. talk to someone in the household about the custody and registration of a dog. He said when he drove to the area, the suspect began shooting at him with a gun, so he drove to the end of the road and called an officer.

Bryant was already gone before officers arrived.

No one was injured during the incident.

Kasiewicz says the suspect has ties to the Sharon and Farrell areas.
