HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A deadly situation is being investigated at an apartment complex in northwest Houston.

A woman was killed and a man was injured in an apparent double stabbing on Long Point Road, the Houston Police Department said.

HPD said the victims were found with multiple stab wounds around 7:35 a.m. Thursday.

The victims have not been publicly identified, but police said they lived at the complex.

“At this time, I don’t believe there is a threat to the community,” said HPD Det. Bowling said at the scene, but did not elaborate.

ABC13 spotted what appeared to be a broom in an evidence bag loaded into the back of a crime scene unit vehicle Thursday afternoon.
