Eddie Redmayne, who thrilled fans with his spectacular performance in the Fantastic Animalshas given a forceful update on the future of the franchise.

He Les Miserables actor, in conversation with comicstated that viewers may never see Newt on the big screen again.

“I think you’ve probably seen the last of Newt. That was a very frank answer, but yes. And that’s as far as I know. “I mean, you’d have to talk to the people at Warner Bros. and JK Rowling, but as far as I know, that’s it,” Redmayne said.

The two-time Oscar winner further joked, “I think he may come back in a look at the Universal World in Florida they’re opening, where you’ll get a glimpse of what he was doing in Paris.”

Meanwhile, Jude Law, who played the role of young Dumbledore, said in another interview: “I know it’s certainly on hold. I guess now that they’re making Harry Potter as a TV show, they’ll probably put their energy into that. “I certainly haven’t heard that anything is on the horizon.”

While the film series featured a star-studded cast and the first film was acclaimed worldwide, the subsequent two parts failed to meet the expectations of the viewers.
