Romano and Brailsford make big announcements; The boss “can’t wait” to move.

Manchester United are on the verge of announcing Ruben Amorim as their new manager following key upgrades to Fabrizio Romano and Sir Dave Brailsford, while the manager’s feelings about his move to Old Trafford have also emerged.

According to Romano, Amorim ‘can be considered the new Manchester United manager’. His contract will be ‘signed this week’ before him join during the November international breakwhose start is scheduled for November 11.

That means Amorim’s first game in charge of United will be the Premier League trip to Ipswich Town on Sunday 24 November.

Roman He adds that the current Sporting CP coach will sign a contract with United until June 2027.

United have activated their €10m release clause, but the raid will cost €11m in total (£9.2m/$12m). This is because Sporting wanted compensation for their technical staff and to waive Amorim’s 30-day notice period.

Additionally, United boss and INEOS sporting boss Brailsford has been filmed telling fans outside Old Trafford that the deal for Amorim is “done”.

The Portuguese press claim that Amorim “can’t wait to travel” to England and spearhead a new project at United.

Sporting, on the other hand, is saddened by the departure of the tactician, after having guided them to several trophies, including two league titles. Sporting understands Amorim’s desire to prove himself at a higher level, but expected him to stay that way for at least one more season.

As Amorim prepares to take an exciting next step in his managerial career, reports in the Netherlands claim that Erik ten Hag is “completely devastated” and “ruined” following his sacking by United.

Man Utd reach agreement with Amorim

Romano’s update comes after it emerged on Thursday that a A “complete agreement” had been reached for Amorim and two of his coaches, Carlos Fernandes and Adelio Candido, to join.

While Amorim “can’t wait” to join United, Sporting’s top stars are picking up the pieces.

It has been stated that people like Viktor Gyokeres and Morten Hjulmand faced Amorim after he told them he would move on. The main reason why they stayed at Sporting during the summer was to continue shining with Amorim.

United are already being linked with some sensational Amorim signings including Alphonso Davies, Rodrygo and Eduardo Camavinga.

But TEAMtalk can reveal some of the more realistic additions the 39-year-old wants to make, with his former club Sporting one of his favorite hunting grounds.

Man Utd news: Sports trio in sight, Phelan advice

Sources have confirmed to TEAMtalk that Goncalo Inacio, Marcus Edwards and Pedro Goncalves are three of Sporting’s biggest stars that Amorim would like to reunite with at United.

Center back Inácio is also wanted by Liverpool, creating a great battle for his services.

Edwards, for his part, went through the Tottenham Hotspur academy. The Spurs have a buy-back clause for the winger, although it remains to be seen if they will activate it.

Former United assistant manager Mike Phelan has suggested that for demonstrating a unique style of play from the beginningAmorim can quickly win the affection of the club’s fans.

“We will find all the positives if you are successful, normally, wherever they are, but the Premier League is a monster,” he said.

“It is a completely different environment and many managers have found it difficult. Even the best managers have found it difficult to operate in that area.”

When asked about Amorim’s priorities at United, Phelan added: “The group of players he has and is inheriting is something important. He has to do his homework with them, he knows that the results have not been very good.

“But I also think that, from the point of view of Manchester United and the manager, he has to create some kind of performance, an identity on the football field. Who are they? What are they going to be with this coach?

“That has to be a relatively immediate effect; It has to come out quickly because that’s what you’ll be judged on pretty soon. Then you can build from there, if you have any money left, of course.”
