Text messages sent after Colleen Rebelo’s death show sibling hostility, court told

Moments later, Fabián tried to call Andre, who did not answer.

“P*** answer please, mom is dead,” he sends at 2:44 p.m., four minutes after calling 000 to report that he had found his mother dead in the shower.

“Please, Andre.

“!!

“DO***.”

Fabián finally contacted his brother and gave him the news of their mother’s death, but without realizing that they had already spoken, Monique sent her twin a series of messages.

“Have you responded to Fabián’s calls? DO IT NOW, COME RIG (sp) NOW TO THE MOMS NOW (sic),” Monique wrote.

“NOW.

“NOW.”

A few minutes later, Andre responded that he was on his way.

The jury was also shown a series of missed calls and messages that his then-girlfriend, Instagram model Grace Piscopo, made to Andre on the morning his mother died.

The court heard Piscopo made six calls to her boyfriend between 11.10am and 11.15am which went unanswered.

He then sent her two angry text messages saying “ANDWRR YOUR F***ING PHOME (sic)” and “WHERER AEE YOU (sic).”

He then made seven more calls to her phone between 11.17 and 11.25, which went unanswered.

He then sent a series of text messages asking “what’s wrong?” and saying “I’m furious with you, I’m very angry.”

“Reply, for the love of God,” he texted.

A few minutes later, call records show Piscopo called him again and he answered.

The state’s case is that those calls were made while Mr. Rebelo was at his mother’s home in Bicton, allegedly giving him enough time to kill her and place her body in the shower to make it appear she had had a medical episode.

The trial continues.
