Pary’s community unites to find missing 5-year-old LNN

About 100 community members and members of Tumahole and Parys SAPS in the Free State joined forces this morning to search for missing five-year-old Keith Sithole.

Keith was last seen around Letshaba Street in Tumahole at about 2pm on Friday, wearing a black dress with green flowers and black shoes.

According to Keith’s mother Kelly, she came home from school and walked to a neighboring house to buy an ice cold drink. When she couldn’t find one, she went to a nearby tuck shop where she was last seen. The tuck shop is within a 1 km radius of her house.

Keith Sithole (5) went missing on Friday.

Kelly said Keith wasn’t a kid running around. The family searched for her and reported her missing to the Tumahole SAPS on Saturday. Police and members of the Welcome K9 unit searched relentlessly for her over the weekend.

Leaflets were distributed this morning at a meeting at the taxi rank in Tumahole, from where the public and police were divided into search teams by Lieutenant Colonel Juanita Jansen van Rensburg, the station commander of the Tumahole SAPS.

The map shows where Ruth’s house is and the areas being searched today.

A map showed which areas would be searched on foot and she asked people to look specifically for grooves and open manholes into which she could have fallen.

Community members rally to find missing five-year-old Keith Sithole.

Anyone with information is urged to call Detective Inspector Noliyiswa Masondo of the Tumahole Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offenses Unit on 082 049 5208, the Tumahole Police Station or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. Anonymous tips can be reported via the MySAPS app.
