(National) Firefighter sentenced to prison for ‘writing false official documents’ about the Osong disaster

They are accused of giving false answers to the National Assembly, implying that they issued the first phase of emergency relief to reduce the responsibility of fire authorities in responding to accidents.

Mr B also incorrectly reported to the National Fire Service that the emergency rescue team was in operation at the time of the accident.

Previously, the prosecutor charged 30 people responsible for the accident, including the head of the temporary embankment construction site and officials from the Administrative Complex City Construction Office and the Geumgang River Basin Environment Agency, in connection with the Osong disaster.
