Naruto Reveals How Deadly Boruto’s Karma Has Become After Time Skip

Boruto: two blue vortices is now in the midst of fighting the Divine Trees, and the manga’s newest chapter has revealed just how deadly Boruto’s use of Karma has become since the timeskip began. Boruto: two blue vortices has introduced a new version of the world of Boruto three years after the events of Boruto: Naruto Next Generationsand Boruto has been training during all that time to become strong enough to defeat Code and Kawaki. But after the time jump, an even greater enemy has begun to emerge, as the Divine Trees now have to be dealt with first.

It’s something that Boruto and Kawaki discuss when they first meet outside of Konoha and talk about their current situation.. While Boruto reveals why he has yet to try to tell the others that Kawaki used Eida’s power to change history, it also explains why he is trying to avoid using Karma as much as he did as a child. Because when he uses it now, he’s closer than ever to completely losing control to Momoshiki. It’s just not worth the temporary power boost.

Boruto’s New Karma Problem Explained

Boruto: two blue vortices It was previously teased that the power of the Karma brand was much more dangerous than during the first series. Kawaki noticed how Boruto was seemingly unable to control his Karma power. when Kawaki began to resonate with his own, and asked about this in Chapter 15 of the series. Kawaki questions why Boruto can’t seem to control his Karma, and Boruto reveals that he actually tried to use that power in a fight that occurred outside the Hidden Leaf Village during the three skipped years. And he felt completely possessed by Momoshiki at that moment.

Boruto explains it as a feeling in which he stopped being who he was and even began to die while still being conscious and attentive to his surroundings. Since this fight, Boruto has not used Karma. He is afraid of completely losing control of his body to Momoshiki, but for some reason Otsutsuki has remained inactive for the past three years. Boruto doesn’t really know why, but he’s still worried that activating Karma will bring out Momoshiki even though Otsutsuki seems calm. Which means that Boruto will be missing his greatest power in the upcoming fights against the Divine Trees.

Boruto makes a new deal with Kawaki

With Momoshiki presenting a greater threat than Always following the time jump, Boruto once again asks Kawaki for help.. Although Kawaki is determined to kill Boruto to end the threat, Boruto states that the Divine Trees are the most immediate enemy. They need to work together to have any chance against the two of them, and Boruto even promises once again that he will let Kawaki kill him if he ever loses full control of his body again. Just like the deal the two made earlier in the main series.

This fear of Karma also reveals why Boruto has been training as much as he had over the course of the timeskip. He has revealed greater strength and control over his jutsu that he had been learning all this time, but now there is a large shadow hanging over everything. Boruto has been afraid of losing control over himself and his training has been his way of trying to compensate for that inherent weakness. But as Boruto heads into an uncertain future, Momoshiki really can show up and disrupt things at any moment.
