More flights diverted as NATs confirm systems affected by weather | GBC – Gibraltar News

More flights were diverted to Spanish airports on Sunday as NATs, the air traffic control contractor, confirmed their systems had been affected by the weather.

Easyjet flights to Manchester and Bristol were diverted to Malaga, while the BA flight to Heathrow was diverted to Seville.

Yesterday afternoon’s BA flight was also diverted.

A spokesperson for NATs said:

“Our air traffic control service to Gibraltar was disrupted yesterday (Saturday 12 October) due to a technical fault caused by bad weather. The airport will be closed until 12:00 local time today (Sunday) so that a multi-agency team can work to restore service.”
