Novak Djokovic confirms he is part of the new ‘Big 3’ with an important statistic

Novak Djokovic may have had the most challenging year of his career yet, but he remains a member of the game’s new ‘Big 3’ for now.

The former world number 1 will end a year without winning a Grand Slam title for the first time since 2017 as a combination of injuries and the increasing presence of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have ended his dominance at the top of the men’s game.

Sinner and Alcaraz shared the Grand Slam titles together in 2024, with the former claiming the Australian Open and US Open titles and the latter winning the French Open and Wimbledon.

Still, a look at this year’s stats confirms that Djokovic is still a major force among the men, despite his waning powers at 37.

Sinner has been the clear leader on the ATP Tour statistics since the start of the year, with his 63 wins from 69 matches giving him a stunning winning percentage of 91.3.

Alcaraz has compiled an equally impressive record, with 47 wins from his 57 matches and a winning percentage of 82.5.

But even though this is believed to have been a season where Djokovic has struggled to find consistency in his play after admitting he struggles to find motivation in tournaments outside of the Grand Slams, the Serbian legend is still putting in some impressive figures.

He is tied for second in terms of winning percentage statistics this year, with his 33 wins from 41 matches giving him a winning percentage of 82.5%.

While that number is still well below the incredible numbers he has posted throughout most of his career, it does confirm that Djokovic can still get the better of most of his opponents when he is fit and can shoot.
