WiseTech’s Richard White’s time on the board of the Tech Council of Australia must end

In Christine Holman’s memo when she resigned from WiseTech’s board, she described “ongoing intimidation and bullying … in the form of aggressive emails, one-on-one meetings and public name-calling at board meetings.” Although she had brought this unacceptable behavior to the attention of other directors, she was dismayed to see that founder Richard White’s behavior was not addressed.

Instead, she was told to have “empathy with the founders” and accept that “that’s how geniuses are.” When I read this, a shiver ran down my spine. It’s a story I’ve heard before.
