It will be a chilly Thursday before temperatures enter the weekend

Good morning Idaho, we have one more day until the weekend!

A cold front moved through SW Idaho last night bringing gusty winds and a bit of rain to the area!

If you love sweater weather, today will be your favorite day of the week. Pack the jacket as you head out the door, temperatures will remain in the 30s during the commute and 50 degrees are expected this afternoon! The sky will remain mostly clear all day, with clouds returning around 5 p.m.

We’re all in the lower to mid 50s across the area! This is about a 10 degree difference from Wednesday’s highs.

The weekend
Temperatures will climb back into the 60s through Saturday. It’s going to be a very comfortable weekend and I encourage you to get out and enjoy the last of your sixties.

On Sunday we may see some rain in the late afternoon ahead of a low pressure system.

Next week
The system arrives on Monday and pushes in a cold front, bringing some rain into the start of the work week. But it looks like we’re leaving with morning lows in the 20s and 30s, and afternoon highs in the 50s!

Mother Nature reminds us that winter will be here before we know it.
