Man in critical condition after crash at Northern General Hospital

A driver is in a critical condition after crashing his car at a hospital in Sheffield.

The man, aged 62, was driving a Silver Toyota RAV4 through the grounds of the Northern General Hospital at around 12.30pm BST when he struck a stationary car, which in turn struck another vehicle.

South Yorkshire Police said the driver was removed from the car by witnesses and given first aid before being taken to hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the car before the crash to come forward.
