WCSO confirms child deaths after car and camper fire

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – The Wichita County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the death of a 1-year-old child following a fire on Friberg Church Road.

The cause of the fire had not yet been announced at the time of publication of this article.

Officer Melvin Joyner said the driver claimed she got out of the vehicle for a few minutes and when she returned the car and camper were completely engulfed in flames.

The Wichita Falls Fire Department and the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office responded to this fire.
