Gateshead man convicted of bike burglary in Gosforth

Gateshead man convicted of bike burglary in Gosforth

About 45 minutes later the men entered a garage on Rectory Terrace, Gosforth and stole two bicycles, one worth £700 and the other £1,600, the court heard.

Taylor also admitted breaking into the Savers store in Jackson Street, Gateshead, on November 16 last year and stealing almost £2,200 worth of aftershave.

In mitigation, the court found that both men were addicted to drugs.

Hetherington was jailed for a year, suspended for 21 months, and ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work.

Taylor will be sentenced in April 2025 after Judge Sarah Mallett said he would be given the opportunity to co-operate with the probation service under an existing court order.
