Former child star actor takes a full-time NASCAR ride

Former “Malcolm in the Middle” star Frankie Muniz has been chasing his racing dreams for a few years now, and Tuesday marked a significant milestone in that process.

Because, according to Muniz, he has secured a full-time NASCAR ride for 2025.

He shared on Instagram the announcement that he will drive for Reaume Brothers Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Muniz will drive the No. 33 Ford 150.

Muniz said he was “incredibly excited” to join the team.

“I don’t want to say it’s a long time coming, but this is a dream of mine forever,” he told People Magazine. “I grew up watching NASCAR. I was a big fan, but it wasn’t something I necessarily thought I would ever have the opportunity to do.”

Muniz starred in “Malcolm in the Middle” from 2000 to 2006. He has a long list of film and television credits to his name, and he told People that he hasn’t completely given up acting but is currently focusing on his career as a racing driver.

Muniz has completed 22 races in the ARCA Menards Series with 12 top-10 finishes.

He also ran a pair of Craftsman Truck Series races for Reaume Brothers Racing this year.
