China publishes list of investment projects worth 200 billion yuan

China has published a list of projects worth 200 billion yuan (about $28 billion) that are part of next year’s investment plans, an official from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) told Xinhua on Tuesday.

With a total of 647 investment projects pre-spent this year, they include urban underground pipelines, using employment as a means of disaster relief, strengthening dilapidated reservoirs, ecological conservation and restoration, transportation infrastructure, essential public services such as education, health care and culture. , as well as key storage facilities for agricultural products, the NDRC official said.

The NDRC will continue to launch and build the projects as soon as possible, the official said, adding that efforts will be made to make tangible progress this year to provide strong support to economic growth in the fourth quarter .

The official noted that the foundation for achieving the full-year growth target is quite solid, citing favorable factors such as growth momentum from October high-frequency data and the country’s GDP growth of 4.8 percent in the first three quarters.
